"A survey commissioned by Belgian broadcasters VRT, RTBF and newspaper De Standaard finds that around 50% of Belgians see the US as an adversary, while only 10% consider it an ally. China is viewed as an adversary by 40-44%, but many choose 'neither ally nor adversary'. Over 80% support European military self-sufficiency. The poll was conducted in March 2026 after US and Israeli strikes on Iran."
