CSIS: US weapons stockpile replenishment after Iran war to take until 2030, creating vulnerability with China (pbs.org)

0xBASE INTEL BRIEF
  • CSIS estimates Tomahawk replenishment by late 2030, THAAD by end 2029, Patriot by mid-2029.
  • US has enough for Iran but faces vulnerability with China due to depleted stocks.
  • Production capacity, not funding, is the bottleneck; $1.5 trillion Trump budget proposed.

"A new analysis from the Center for Strategic and International Studies estimates that replenishing Tomahawk cruise missiles, THAAD, and Patriot interceptors used in the Iran war will take at least until 2029-2030. While the US has enough munitions for plausible Iran scenarios, depleted inventories create a window of vulnerability for a potential Western Pacific conflict, especially with China over Taiwan. Production capacity, not funding, is the constraint."
