- Elements Claw AI agent discovered four new superconductors verified in lab.
- Screened 2.4 million structures in 28 hours using a one-billion-parameter foundation model.
- Developed by Alibaba's Damo Academy with Renmin University and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
"Alibaba's Damo Academy, in collaboration with Renmin University and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, has developed an AI agent called Elements Claw that discovered four previously unknown superconducting materials. The agent screened 2.4 million stable crystal structures in 28 hours using a one-billion-parameter model trained on 125 million structures. It identified 68,000 candidates and narrowed down to the most promising for lab validation. The four new superconductors were verified in laboratory experiments. This could accelerate materials discovery for power grids, quantum computing, and more."
