"Coface cut its 2026 GDP growth forecast for Portugal to 1.6% from 2.4% before the US-Iran war, citing global slowdown and geopolitical risks. Oil is seen stabilizing at $80/barrel post-war. Global growth is projected at 2.2-2.5% for 2026-2027. Insolvencies are rising 6% worldwide, exceeding pre-pandemic levels. The assessment was presented at Coface's Country Risk Conference by head of macroeconomic research Bruno de Moura Fernandes."
