"From 4 to 5 May 2026, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska visited Athens to highlight Greece's contributions to the Alliance. Speaking at Defence Exhibition Athens (DEFEA), she emphasized the role of industry in keeping citizens safe. Shekerinska called for increased defence investment and transatlantic industrial cooperation. She advocated for a stronger Europe within a stronger NATO. Discussions included cooperation with the EU, Indo-Pacific partners, and Ukraine, as well as priorities for the upcoming NATO Summit in Ankara."
