"The Visegrád Group (V4) prime ministers met on 23 June 2026 in Gödöllő for their first summit in over two years, declaring the bloc back in business. Poland secured a global reconstruction fund for Ukraine, a Taiwanese chip park, and three submarines. Hungary's PM Magyar stated 'the heart of Europe today beats in Central Europe', while Poland's PM Tusk predicted Europe will listen to the region again. Slovakia assumes the rotating EU presidency on 1 July with a focus on competitiveness and enlargement."
