"Oil prices surged on Sunday evening after Iran fired ballistic missiles at Israel, with Brent crude rising over 3% to above $96 per barrel and WTI climbing to over $93. It was the first such attack since an April ceasefire, raising fears of renewed open conflict and reducing chances of reopening the Strait of Hormuz, through which about a fifth of global oil passes. Brent had previously hit $126 but had fallen on hopes of a deal. Trump said the attack would not affect peace efforts and urged Netanyahu not to retaliate."
