"NATO launched Arctic Sentry in February 2026, a multi-domain vigilance activity to strengthen security in the Arctic and High North. The move responds to increased Russian military activity and growing Chinese interests. The geographic boundaries of Joint Force Command Norfolk were expanded to include Denmark, Finland, and Sweden. A new Combined Air Operations Centre in Bodø, Norway, became operational. Exercises like Cold Response are now part of Arctic Sentry."
